Professional Background…

I started in this business in 1998 as an assistant in Calgary.  The advisor I worked for was a CFA and had a sophisticated wealth management practice.  It was a great place to cut my teeth and although I was only there a short time, I am still grateful to my early Mentor for his high standards, coaching and tutelage.  He introduced me to processes that I continue to use to this day.

My family and I moved from Calgary to Saskatoon in 1999 and I started working with an international investment dealer as a Financial Consultant.

In 2001, I joined the credit union system where I was dually-employed by a national investment dealer and a national trust company.  At the end of my 14 year tenure with these firms, I held the titles of Investment Advisor & VP Wealth Management.  Although investment advice was my primary focus, the experiences I had dealing with estate, trust and agency business was invaluable.  I was exposed to capital preservation strategies and a side of the wealth management business that I may not have otherwise learned.  Without question, these experiences have helped to refine a unique skill set that will impact this advisory practice and the Clients I serve throughout my career.

In 2015, I moved to Manulife Securities to join the independent side of the business.  I love the entrepreneurial nature of this business and Manulife Securities has developed a very robust, independent platform.

Ultimately, what started as a fascination with the markets has evolved into a financial advisory practice dedicated to helping people make smart decisions with their money.

My experience has taught me that people who are serious about their finances want to earn a reasonable rate of return, while protecting their capital.  I have combined this most basic concept with a study of pension plans to develop a systematic & disciplined approach to managing wealth.
